The event will be held in English and it will be the 12th of October in Milan. It will occupy the whole day and there will be various discussion sessions which will deal respectively with the themes of online brand protection, illicit trafficking in the Middle East, updates on counterfeiting in China, and the importance of intelligence in fighting illegalities. Port Klang, MALAYSIA

Port Klang is one of the biggest ports in Malaysia and also one of the busiest ports in the world. Port Klang is the main gateway by sea into Malaysia. It is located near Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, therefore it is the official port in which most shipments come in to the country. It is an important destination to identify any counterfeit items that are being imported into Malaysia and then distributed throughout different cities.

17th October,2019

Lucknow is the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, the largest state of India and shares a border with Nepal.

This training  was a half-day session, attended by 50 customs officers from Lucknow Customs, Lucknow International Airport, Varanasi International Airport, ICD Panaki, ICD Agra, Gorakhpur, Bareily & Nanital custom offices.

The training held at Customs Uttar Pradesh Head Office.

Bangalore Air Cargo Customs: Bangalore International Airport is one of the busiest airports in India and the largest in South India. It is the entry point for air shipped cargo, genuine as well as counterfeit goods in South India. The customs office at Bangalore Airport has been very active in enforcement of IPR at Borders and have made detentions of counterfeit goods. Training attended by 40 customs officers.

Colombo is the capital city of Sri Lanka and houses the largest port of the country, which handles the largest volume of shipments. Training workshop was attended by 50 custom officers

ICD, Whitefield, Bangalore: Inland Container Depot (ICD), Bangalore, handles considerable container traffic in the region. Bangalore, besides being the largest IT city of India, is also the State Capital of Karnataka State. The training was a half-day session followed by Lunch/Networking Session. Attended by 40 customs officers.

ACACAP & ACG Workshop

Wednesday 26th June 2019 is British IP Day. To mark this day British and International brands are coming together to debate the threats from the manufacture and trade in counterfeits at the ACG and ACACAP joint workshop taking place at The Shard in London between 11.00 and 16.30.

This is the third event run jointly by ACG and ACACAP to enable brands to come together to debate the issues in Asia, learn from best practice and discuss practical steps in the fight against IP infringement. Previous events have proved extremely successful and will appeal to Brand Protection Managers who have manufacturing or trading interests in Asia and who are facing counterfeiting challenges.  The event venue offers an excellent Central London location and ideal workshop space to bring together 50 brand professionals.

A second customs training event is planned for July 2018 in Nha Trang City. This will be focused on training customs officers from the Southern Area. Nha Trang is the tourist and commercial center of of Khánh Hòa Province – on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. The City is about 450km north of Saigon and 1200km south of Hanoi.

Approximately 30-50 Customs officers will take part. The training will also be streamed to the local Customs officials on the ground.

Federal customs unit of Domodedovo airport, the largest Russian airport in Moscow air traffic hub, is holding a brand protection training for its customs officers. This training will be attended by some top officers in the audience and watched by 50+ inspectors via video broadcast at clearance points.

The training will be attended by police and prosecution officers for the Moscow region.

Huhhot is the capital city of Inner Mongolia, Northern China. This area is a key land port connecting China to Europe via Mongolia and Russia. This train line forms part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, therefore is important as it is likely to be the last Customs check before goods enter Europe via Russia and Poland.

Approximately 35-40 Customs officers will take part.

ACACAP and SCHMITT&ORLOV (S&O) are pleased to invite you to a Customs training event to be held in Russia at the Samara Customs on April 11, 2018. Samara is the sixth largest city in Russia and borders Kazakhstan.  Based on its geographic location, it is one of the main gateways for counterfeit goods coming in from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan originating from China.  Samara Customs are further very much involved with inland raids for counterfeits and seized over 117,000 counterfeit goods last year.

Approximately 35-50 Customs officers will take part.  The training will also be streamed to the local Customs officials on the ground.

Asian Coalition Against Counterfeiting And Piracy (ACACAP) and SCHMITT&ORLOV (S&O) are pleased to invite you to a Customs training event to be held in Moscow at the Vnukovo Airport Customs this spring. Vnukovo Airport is the 3rd busiest airport in Russia and one of the main four airports of Moscow.  Vnukovo works with 20 airlines travelling to and from 31 different countries (68 cities).  Vnukovo Airport Customs particularly handles trade coming from Turkey, Syria, Iran and Georgia.  These countries are part of China’s ONE BELT ONE ROAD policy sending goods to Russia on their way to Europe further emphasising the importance of the training in Moscow.  Approximately 35-50 Customs officers will take part in the training.  The training will also be streamed to the local Customs officials on the ground.

World Anti-Counterfeiting Day

To celebrate Word Anti-Counterfeiting Day, ACACAP and ACG are planning a joint workshop about efficient intelligence and enforcement actions across Asia and between Asia and the UK. Using practical examples delegates will discuss the challenges of product counterfeiting in Asia and explore possible solutions. Case studies will encourage debate on a practical level and it is hoped that the outcome of the workshop will be some concrete next steps for brands in the fights against the counterfeiters. This will be an interactive day, starting at 10am and finishing at 3pm (light lunch provided) in time for delegates to transfer to The Shard for the ACG Annual General Meeting which starts at 4pm.
